You can travel between the Cook Islands and New Zealand without having to go into a managed isolation facility, or self-isolate, when you arrive.

Quarantine-free travel from the Cook Islands to New Zealand

You can travel from the Cook Islands to New Zealand without having to go into a managed isolation facility, or self-isolate, when you arrive.

If you arrive in New Zealand from the Cook Islands – on an aircraft approved to undertake quarantine-free travel – and are eligible to enter New Zealand, you are not required to enter a managed isolation facility and therefore you do not need a voucher for managed isolation. You also do not have to self-isolate on arrival in New Zealand – which means you do not have to isolate away from other members of your household while you remain in your own home.

Standard quarantine-free travel requirements remain in place for travellers from the Cook Islands – passengers are required to confirm they meet health and eligibility requirements, and they are required to complete Nau Mai Rā. Nau Mai Rā is a travel declaration form, which securely collects contact tracing details from you for New Zealand's Ministry of Health.
