Charges by room - NZ citizens or residence class visa holders

Use these scenarios as guidance to understand how different room configurations will impact your charges. The charges shown here are for a 7 day stay, if you stayed for 14 days you will need to calculate your charges by room using the 14 day rates.

Note: Those arriving in MIQ after 11.59pm Thursday 23 December will be required to spend 10 days in MIQ. The current fees in place for 7-day stays is still applicable for the 10-day stays.

The charges on this page, updated to reflect the 7-day stay in MIQ, relate to people who fit one of the following categories:

  1. All individuals in room are New Zealand citizens or residence class visa holders or Australian citizens or permanent residence visa holders who are ordinarily resident in New Zealand, AND none of the individuals in the room are an other critical worker, OR

  2. One individual in room is a New Zealand citizen or residence class visa holder and the other individuals are family members (spouse, partner, guardian or child under 18) of that individual, AND none of the individuals in the room are an other critical worker, OR

  3. One individual in room is a critical health worker and the other individuals are family members (spouse, partner or child under 18) of that individual, AND none of the individuals in the room are an other critical worker.
